Liner Notes

I've wanted to make something that smelled like a rainbow for a long time (especially inspired by Terry Riley's A Rainbow In Curved Air). The concept is to use materials of every color in the rainbow in a certain proportion that is softened in the humid air of their abode. Now you can wear rainbows. Wait 'til you sniff how delicate they are.

Olfactory Notes

Orange

Also called bigrade, this oil is pressed or distilled from the fruit of the same tree that gives us orange blossoms. It is juicy and sings in the top of fragrances with a European flair.

Elemi

Elemi resin is almost like a lemon scented amber. It is a tree sap found in the Phillipines with a lemon and black pepper aroma.

Violet

Violet as a note often comes to us from old fashioned molecules called ionones. They recall the early 20th century, and sweetly fill out the heart of many fragrances.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the concept behind Steamed Rainbow Eau de Parfum?

Steamed Rainbow is a conceptual petrichor fragrance that imagines what a real rainbow might smell like. It's inspired by the synergy between colors of the rainbow (ROYGBIV) and colorful aromatic materials. Specific ingredients represent each color, blended with an overarching accord of humid air and water vapor.
What does a petrichor and solar citrus perfume smell like?

It opens with a luminous burst of solar citrus notes that quickly melt into a soft, ozonic, and wet earth aroma known as petrichor, producing an incredibly clean and multi-dimensional atmospheric scent.
Is Steamed Rainbow a heavy or light fragrance?

It is a delicate, weightless, and exceptionally fresh fragrance for men & women. It wears like a subtle mist or a clean, radiating skin scent rather than a heavy traditional perfume.
Is D.S. & DURGA unisex?

Yes.
